about

This album's lengthy title is a dedication to Danish surreal artist Wilhelm Freddie, a bizarre little-known Dali-esque talent. Not that the music is surreal though, albeit highly creative for a multi-instrumental album created on a 4-track. Dave lists a whole plethora of influences, although I was instantly reminded of the early groundbreaking works of Deuter, with equal doses of Stephan Micus and Terry Riley thrown into the mix. Of course there are many things you'll hear totally unique to David Powell, particularly his use of souncrafting, with some really strange fuzz and modulation processing.

about

Dave Powell Redditch, UK

A unique explorer in the use of the hurdy gurdy, aka "vielle-à-roue" and various other instruments. A great sonic explorer of unfolk "Industrial Folk Music" and electronic sound processing, with an original style.
He has expanded his range of instruments on his various solos and collaborations in Tartovisti.
Dave also plays in Triax, Extremities, Etherwheel and at Quadelectronic events.
