about

The "hurdy-gurdy man" here instead features the flute as his main instrument, along with cello, and lots of electronic processing, etc., for an ethereal (but also powerful) flowing album, one that sizzles and rides, developing his unique style of playing the flute as also heard in the band Triax. One can certainly hear influence from the likes of Florian Schneider (in early Kraftwerk) and Joel Vandroogenbroeck (of Brainticket) in these instrumental excursions.

about

Dave Powell Redditch, UK

A unique explorer in the use of the hurdy gurdy, aka "vielle-à-roue" and various other instruments. A great sonic explorer of unfolk "Industrial Folk Music" and electronic sound processing, with an original style.
He has expanded his range of instruments on his various solos and collaborations in Tartovisti.
Dave also plays in Triax, Extremities, Etherwheel and at Quadelectronic events.
